At Fraîche, our WHY is what makes our wheels turn every day. Not only do we aim to partner with the best restaurants of NYC but we work hard with partners, such as Replate, to make NYC a healthier, more sustainable, and thriving city. We’re investing in NYC communities one meal at a time.
Our partnership with Replate
Replate’s mission is to reduce food waste and alleviate food insecurity in communities everywhere. They manage food donations from various sources such as farmers’ markets, restaurants, offices with meal services, etc. that are then taken to nearby nonprofits that work with people experiencing food insecurity.
At Fraîche we are so proud to be working with Replate. All non-consumed meals are donated to different charities around the city. Working with Replate allows us to support local communities as much as possible and at the same time completely remove the word “waste” from our company’s culture. The more impact we have on communities through these types of initiatives means a less negative impact on the planet, and ultimately that’s all that we’re about here at Fraîche.
“From a smart fridge downtown…to a community fridge uptown! Replate has been working with @fraichekiosk to bring donated locally sourced, nutritious surplus meals to the community of @harlemgrown. Across 12 urban farms, built on abandoned lots, youth are taught to grow, harvest and cook their own food. And get treated to a “Fraiche” lunch along the way!”
